In 2011, Ryan completed his Masters in Architecture at Wentworth Institute of Technology located in Boston. He has since accumulated experience working on various project types, with a particular focus on design detailing and construction technology. Concurrently, he teaches multiple courses at the University of Hartford, providing him with the opportunity to adopt a research-oriented approach to the field.

In 2020, Ryan took the initiative to establish his architectural firm to hone his managerial and consulting skills. He is now re-joining edmSTUDIO as an Associate Principal with the excitement of being able to work with others again.

During his weekends, Ryan dedicates his time to renovating his home in Portland, CT, which he considers his playground for experimenting with architectural concepts in a practical setting. Don’t ask how the project is going, as he will give you the same answer he would have 6 years ago when it began, “I am having a lot of fun.”

In his free time, Ryan engages in his passion for volleyball, regularly playing in the sand several evenings a week. Additionally, he enjoys taking his paddleboard out onto the water for fishing excursions, camping, playing board games (always a new one) and honing his wood and metal working skills.
