Last week, edmSTUDIO partnered with the South County Senior Center in Deerfield, MA, to host a public outreach event focused on envisioning the center’s future space. This collaborative effort brought together local residents, senior center members, and project stakeholders.
The morning kicked off with a series of interactive stations, designed to immerse attendees in the planning process. They shared feedback on what they love, what they would change, and what new activities and services could make the space even more dynamic and supportive.
In the afternoon, focus groups engaged in lively discussions ranging from personal moments of connection at the current center to dreams of what an ideal facility might look like. Participants selected photos of preferred designs and activities and debated the pros and cons of potential sites for the center’s future location.
This event underscores edmSTUDIO’s commitment to community engagement and user-centered design, ensuring that the new South County Senior Center meets the needs and aspirations of its members.
