Architects Monica Perez del Rio, AIA, LFA, and Christopher Wante, AIA, and Architectural Intern AJ Alessandrini visited the Hingham Center for Active Living to engage with the community for a feasibility study. Community members, including users of the Center, residents, and volunteers, were invited to share their thoughts.
“Stations” with various topics and visuals facilitated discussions, but participants were also encouraged to expand upon topics most important to them. We listened attentively and gathered valuable information.
Data collected included transportation means, popular activities and hobbies, accessibility needs, and likes and dislikes. Most importantly, we learned what everyone values most about their Center and the opportunities a potential new Center will bring to the community
